Why we built it
Most tools that track website changes show you the old and new versions with the differences highlighted, and leave you to work out what it means. That's fine for one page. It gets old fast when you're watching twenty.
ChangeGist reads the change for you and writes it up the way a colleague would: “They dropped the free trial” instead of forty highlighted lines. The full before-and-after is still there if you want it.

Questions
What kind of pages can I monitor?
Any public page you can open in a browser without logging in: pricing pages, product listings, careers pages, policies, news pages. Pages behind a login aren't supported.
How often do you check?
Once a day on Starter (and during the free trial), every hour on Pro, and every 15 minutes on Business. You can also hit “Check now” whenever you like.
Will I get an email every time a date or counter changes?
No. Lots of pages change on every visit (timestamps, view counts, rotating testimonials) and we skip those. The filter isn't perfect, so small changes still show up in the page's history, but they won't land in your inbox.
Can I watch just one part of a page?
Yes. If you only care about the price box or the job list, point us at that section and we'll ignore the rest. It's under “Advanced” when you add a page.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every account starts with 7 days of the Starter plan: up to 25 pages, checked once a day. No card needed. When the trial ends, checks pause until you pick a plan, and your pages and history are kept.
Can I cancel a paid plan?
Paid plans are monthly and you can cancel whenever you like. You'll keep your plan until the end of the month you paid for.
