ChangeGist is a small, independent product, built and run by one person in the UK. It watches the web pages you care about and tells you, in plain English, when something important changes.

I built ChangeGist because keeping an eye on web pages by hand is tedious and easy to forget. A competitor quietly raises a price, a supplier rewords their terms, a job you wanted goes up and comes down again, and you only find out when it's too late.

Most tools that watch pages send you a wall of highlighted text and leave you to work out what it means. I wanted something that reads the change for you and says it the way a colleague would: “Pro plan went up from £49 to £59”, with the date it takes effect in your calendar.

How I run it

• Every message to [email protected] and every bit of feedback in the app comes to me, and I read all of it.
• Your data is never sold or shared, and it isn't used to train AI.
• ChangeGist is run from the UK, under UK data protection law.
• The checker behaves politely on other people's websites: it follows their rules for automated visits, and site owners can ask us to stop.
